Senior Outreach is a Grace Outreach Life Group ministry available to the growing Plano and Collin County area senior citizen community. Since its inception in July, 2006 at Sunrise Senior Living of Plano and its formal organization in January, 2008, Senior Outreach ministers regularly in nine senior facilities in the Plano area. Our church volunteer staff of 45 minister weekly to more than 400 seniors including independent living, assisted living and memory care facilities. We have had 220 salvations in the past two years.
Senior Outreach teachers and ministers are skilled in teaching the foundational truths of God’s Word, gifted in sharing stories built around Bible principles, and providing songs, hymns and praying God’s Word in eldercare settings and senior living environments. We have become especially recognized for our Reading God’s Promises/Word Drill ministry to memory care residents where we have them recite scripture in unison. The response is outstanding.
